There will be an amazing and sweaty Zumba class and an amazing dance workshop where will learn the basics of two popular African Caribean rhythms: Calypso and Soca.
Calypso and Soca are two popular music genres originating from the Caribbean, particularly Trinidad and Tobago. While they share some similarities and have influenced each other, there are several major differences between Calypso and Soca and we are going to explore them through basic dance steps and music to broaden our understanding of dance, and music and foster a deeper appreciation for the Caribbean culture and its contributions to the world of dance and music.
