ViGör - Dance Soca at Botkyrka

We are thrilled to announce a vibrant and exciting Soca dance afternoon in Tullinge, Botkyrka, hosted at the Ebba Dance Club in Ruiksten. This event serves as the perfect introduction to our broader initiative, "ViGör Riksten Alive," aimed at creating a lively, inclusive, and creative community space where everyone from Tullinge and surrounding areas  is invited to join us for an afternoon filled with dance, music, and community building.

What is Soca Dance?

Soca, short for "Soul of Calypso," is an invigorating music genre that combines African rhythms with East Indian musical elements. Originating from Trinidad and Tobago, Soca is famous for its lively beats and energetic dance moves, perfect for expressing joy and vitality. The rhythm is fast-paced, designed to get your heart pumping and your body moving. Dancing to Soca not only uplifts spirits but also provides a great physical workout.

• Dance Workshops for All Ages: Whether you are young or just young at heart, we have something for everyone. Our workshops are segmented by age groups - children, teenagers, adults, and seniors - ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable learning pace for all.
• Expert Instruction: Learn from the best! Harold de Avila and Patricia Alvarado will guide you through the steps of Soca dance. Their expertise will help you capture the essence of Soca's joyful and freeing dance movements.

• 13.00 - 13.45 seniors
• 14.00 - 14.45  Teenagers
• 15.00 - 15:45 Children between 7-12 years old
• 16:00 - 16:45  Children between 4 -6 years old
• 17.00 - 18.00 Adults of all levels

Dance Instructor: Harold de Avila: A seasoned dance leader from Colombia with over 20 years of experience in dance and fitness, Harold specializes in Latin and Caribbean rhythms. His passionate teaching style makes Soca dance accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
