Dancing into Self-Love: A Look Back at Valentine’s Day in Feb 2025 in Stockholm

This past season was one to remember. As part of a packed spring/summer full of movement and meaning, the week of Valentine’s Day stood out as a true celebration—not just of romantic love, but of self-love.

Every Zumba season starts with a vision. Before the music starts and the schedules are set, I begin with an idea. As a Zumba instructor and entrepreneur, I take time to reflect on what matters most, choose meaningful dates, and shape each event with intention.

This year, I wanted to reimagine Valentine’s Day. In Sweden, it’s still a growing tradition—but I saw it as the perfect moment to turn the focus inward. What if we used dance not to impress someone else, but to reconnect with ourselves? To feel strong, joyful, and worthy in our own skin?

And that’s exactly what we did.

To bring the week to life, I had the joy of welcoming some incredible guest instructors to share their passion in both Tullinge and Odenplan.

On Tuesday, in Tullinge, we danced with Magda—a true example of passion and balance. She started doing Zumba at 14 and now works full-time in consulting, yet still makes time to teach in the evenings. Her class was full of joy, light, and the kind of energy that makes you forget it’s even a workout.

Then on Thursday, also in Tullinge, we were joined by Sachin Sharma, who brought the rhythms of Bollywood to life. His class was an explosion of color, culture, and choreography that had everyone smiling from start to finish.

To wrap up the week, on Saturday, the celebration moved to Odenplan. We had games to break the ice before the sweat.

We welcomed Daniela Rivas, a powerhouse of Latin rhythm and infectious energy. Her presence lit up the room. Alongside her was Wallace Da Silva, who came all the way from Gävle. With many years of Zumba experience, Wallace gifted us with a class rich in Brazilian-inspired movement—dynamic, joyful, and full of heart.

This Valentine’s season reminded me why we do this.

Zumba isn’t just about dancing. It’s about community. About reclaiming our joy. About remembering that love starts within.

To everyone who joined us: thank you. You showed up with open hearts and dancing feet. To my guest instructors: thank you for your light, your time, and your energy. To anyone reading this: may you always find space to move, to breathe, and to love yourself fully.

This was just one week out of a beautiful season—stay tuned for more recaps of everything that made Spring/Summer 2025 so special.
