Feel the Power: Reggaeton Workshop Highlights from Tullinge & Odenplan

ree

This season, we turned up the heat with a 90-minute Reggaeton workshop in both Tullinge and Odenplan—and it was nothing short of electric.

Led by the incredibly talented Pishi, the workshop invited participants to dive deep into the world of Latin hip-hop and tropical beats, learning bold, sensual moves and building a short choreographed routine that left everyone glowing with energy and confidence.

But for me, these workshops are about more than choreography. As a Zumba instructor, I’m always looking to collaborate with colleagues who not only bring talent and skill, but also help my participants grow—to feel more confident, more aware of their movements, and more empowered in their bodies.Pishi is one of those people.

💃 Who Is Pishi?

Pishi has a rich background in Persian dance, having studied and performed it since childhood. She's a licensed Zumba instructor, blending different styles with ease and expertise. Since 2007, she has taught both youth and adults—from beginners to professionals—and also offers private classes.

Although Pishi is not originally from Latin America, she discovered Reggaeton as a teenager and was instantly drawn to its strength, attitude, and musical energy. Since then, she has studied the rhythm deeply and brings a thoughtful, passionate approach to her classes.

🔥 Why Reggaeton?

In Zumba, Reggaeton is one of our core rhythms—and with good reason. It’s powerful, vibrant, and full of urban attitde. The mix of hip-hop roots with Latin flavor makes it bold, rhythmic, and energizing. Whether you're a long-time dancer or just starting out, Reggaeton offers a unique chance to explore movement with confidence.

🧠 What Our Participants Gained

During the workshop, attendees experienced:

  • New moves that helped them feel the rhythm in a whole new way

  • A boost in coordination, stamina, and body awareness

  • A chance to step outside their comfort zone and build confidence

  • A sense of connection—not just with the music, but with themselves

🌟 Final Thoughts

Workshops like these are reminders of why I love what I do. When I collaborate with instructors like Pishi—who complement my teaching and uplift our community—the results are always magical. It’s not just about steps. It’s about creating a space where people feel safe, strong, and inspired.
