With so many beautiful things that happened during the spring, I completely forgot to tell you about the Sweden Zumba Festival with Armando and Hedi in April.
For me, each event is an experience full of learning, personal and professional satisfaction, and the fulfillment of dreams. It is in these moments where both lines converge.
If you don’t know anything about the Sweden Zumba Festival, I can tell you that it’s like a Zumba marathon of five hours, where we do Zumba non-stop with fantastic and skilled instructors from all over Sweden. In this edition, we brought two international guest instructors and singers: Armando and Hedi from the USA, with roots in Colombia.
What’s funny is that at first, I thought this experience wasn’t going to happen and I almost threw in the towel, as we say in Venezuela. But suddenly, things started to change and, I don’t know if it was due to the change in weather, but my students and friends began to get excited and everything transformed.
This 4th edition left me with three great achievements:
This picture is called The moment that you are going to be next on stage and you are nervous
1. Sharing Venezuelan Music: I was able to dance and share Venezuelan music again. This time, I included one of my favorite songs by Guaco called "Baja." Although the choreography is not mine, I love all the elements it contains. It was created by Claudio López, a Zumba colleague who lives in Spain but is originally from Chile. Seriously, thank you for creating it. It always fills me with pride and nostalgia to be an ambassador of the beautiful things from Venezuela. Take a look bellow
2. Dancing with friends and students: I danced with many Venezuelan friends and students that I love very much, who dared to join me on stage as part of my dance troupe.
3. Forming a dance troupe: Having many students eager to be part of my dance troupe and practicing with them before getting on stage was incredible.

🧡To all my colleagues for their energy and enthusiasm. This festival is a unique opportunity to see them all on stage and give their best through their style.
🧡 A salute to the Zumba participants who joined us, showcasing commendable endurance by engaging in Zumba for a continuous five hours—an incredible feat. We ended with a delicious dinner with my students after the festival. Without them, I wouldnt have done it.
Heartfelt appreciation goes to my family for their unwavering support ❤️, and to my wonderful Zumba participants for their belief in me.
